Danny was a twelve-year old boy that needed to leave behind the comfort of his home to go to a week-long summer camp in Transylvania, Romania. He was terribly scared of vampires, and a secluded camp in the mountains was the last thing he had in mind for the summer. Fortunately, once he got there, he befriended a boy named Alex with whom he shared a cabin and a mutual dread of vampires, and a girl named Lucy whose ambivalent attitude often tested the boys’ patience. The kids were lucky to have each other, but their luck was short-lived. The camp experiences were full of unexpected adventures for the protagonists, who managed to accidentally turn a nice rafting trip into an ordeal, to infuriate a solitary shepherd multiple times, to survive a whole-camp flea infestation, to catch their only remaining clean pants on fire, and to deal with multiple shenanigans of a mysterious prankster. The week was anything but boring.
