Dr David Cooke is an Australian business leader noted for his public advocacy of responsible and sustainable business. He spent 35 years in the technology sector. He is the author of Kind Business: Values Create Value, which is his first book. David completed his doctorate in 2008. David’s dissertation was titled ‘The Philanthropic Contract: Building Social Capital through Corporate Social Investment’ which dealt with the business case for profit–making corporations contributing to society through partnerships with civil society or NGO organisations.
